WBJEE Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:
Applicants must be an Indian citizen.
Qualification:
- Aspirants must have qualified their 12th standard (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as compulsory subjects.
- It is mandatory for the candidates to secure individual passing marks in both theory and practical wherever applicable.
- Appearing aspirants in the qualifying exam of are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit:
- Minimum age of the aspirants must be 17 years.
- No upper age limit is there for B.Tech programmes whereas upper age limit for Marine Engineering programmes is 25 years.
Requirement of
Marks:
Aspirants belonging to General category must have got
aggregate of 45% and reserved category candidates should have got 40% in the
above mentioned subjects. English must be qualified by all the candidates
securing 30% marks in 10+2. Qualification of the aspirants must be from Central
and State government recognized Board.
Domicile:
Candidates must be citizen of West Bengal for 10 years
consecutively OR aspirants’ parents should be permanent
inhabitants of West Bengal having permanent residential address in the state.

Requirements in
terms of Residential/ Domicile Criteria:
- To present in WBJEE, there is no particular Residential/ Domicile requirement.
- West Bengal Residential/ Domicile are applicable for the seats under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme.
- All the candidates are notified to keep their certificate ready to be prodecued at the time of counselling or admission etc
- In case any certificate is found invalid then the aspirant will not be provided opportunity to get admission in the courses offered in the institutes.
Proforma of
Certificate:
Candidates can be treated as Domicile under these
conditions. You can go through these conditions:
If a person is continuously residing in the state for at
least last 10 years OR
The parents of the individual are permanent citizen of West
Bengal having permanent address within the state.
If the first requirement is fulfilled by the candidates then
they have to acquire domicile certificate in proforma ‘a1’ or proforma ‘a2’. If
second condition is fulfilled then you need to present of Voter ID Card/ Aadhar
Card/ Passport/ Ration Card of his or her parents. These documents are just required
to verify the permanent address of the parents.
Attention Please:
These Proforma - ‘a1’ and ‘b’ need to get certified by
government officials and Proforma ‘a2’ is to be certified by the head of the
institution from where the aspirant has completed their 12th standard.

B.Tech.(Dairy Technology) Course
|
Aspirants must pass the 10+2 exam with Mathematics, Physics, and
Chemistry as compulsory subject in regular class mode from recognized
board/institute.
He/she should have scored minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam
(40% for reserved category candidates).

The Jadhavpur University (Faculty of Engineering & Technology)
|
Students must qualify 10+2 or equivalent exam with PCM having secured
at least 60% for general category (45% for reserve category) marks aggregate
and 30% marks in English.
Eligibility for five year degree course in Architecture: Apart from
above eligibility criteria, candidate must qualify NATA or Paper-II of the
JEE Main.
