Lecturer Exam Pattern: Aspirants who have applied for the vacant post
must look at the below given exam pattern and start their preparation
accordingly:
As per the exam pattern, the written test will be of
objective type with multiple choice questions.
The paper consist of two parts that era Part I and Part II.
Part I comprises of subjects namely General English,
Computer Aptitude, Pedagogy and General Knowledge and Part II has the concerned
subject.
Aspirants must get ready to answer 150 questions and for
every correct answer 1 mark will be allotted.
In the allotted time period of 3 hours, candidates must
complete their exam.

Service Preliminary Exam Pattern: Odisha PSC Civil Service Pre Exam
Pattern is as follows:
In Preliminary Examination, multiple choice objective type
questions will be asked.
There will be two parts in the Exam that are Part I and Part
II.
Each part carries 200 marks.
Time duration to complete the exam is 2:00 hours (120
minutes).

Written Examination Syllabus:
PAPER-I & II:
The aim of the paper is to test the candidate’s ability to recognize severe
discursive prose and convey their thoughts and ideas accurately and correctly
in Odia/English language.
Pattern of questions is given as follows:
Comprehension of a given passage: 30 Marks
Precis writing with a passage of around 1000 words: 40 Marks
Translation from English/Odia to Odia/English: 30 Marks
Grammar, usage and vocabulary: 80 Marks
Short Essay of around 1000 words: 100 Marks
Expansion of an idea: 20 Marks
PAPER-III:
Candidates will be required to write an Essay on a specific topic. The choice
of subjects will be given. They will be expected to keep closely to the subject
of the essay to arrange their ideas in orderly fashion and to write concisely.
Credit will be given for effective and exact expression.
