Eligibility
Criteria: Check this info-
- Candidates must have completed their graduation and post graduation degrees with at least 60% marks.
- Aspirants who have done PH.D programme or working toward their Ph.D. registration, are eligible to apply.
Age Limitation:
Candidate who comes under the age group of 35 years can apply for National
Council of Educational Research and Training Doctoral Fellowship.
NCERT Doctoral
Fellowship Amount: See this list-
For Non-NET: The candidates selected for NCERT
Doctoral Fellowship will get Rs. 14000/- per month.
For NET Qualified Aspirants: Those contenders who
belongs to NET qualified category will receive Rs. 16000/- per month.
Selected individuals will also be given a contingency grant
of Rs. 10000/- per annum during this period.
Selection Process:
The organization first short-lists some capable candidates on the basis of the
qualification. Then the short-listed aspirants have to attend the interview
round. This round is expected to include the presentation of proposals. Candidates
will get the second (sleeper) class train fare by the shortest route for
attending the interview-cum-seminar round.
Other Conditions:
4 out of 10 fellowships are kept back for RIEs (Regional Institutes of
Education) which means each fellowship for Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar and
Mysore. The fellowships will be restricted to extremely deserving individuals
only. In case if the relevant aspirants are not available, the organization may
not select all 10 fellows.
Candidate who wants to apply for NCERT Doctoral
Fellowship should have done pre-doctoral research methodology course or
enrolled/selected for such course for appropriate duration as approved by UGC.
Important Date
Candidates can apply for NDF within 60 days from the
publication of the advertisement in newspapers.
