Pattern:
- Tier-II Paper of CHSL will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode.
- Time duration: one hour (20 minutes extra will be given for applicants with VH/OH afflicted by Cerebral Palsy, OH with deformity in writing hand).
- This paper has been conducting to check your writing skills.
- The Paper will comprise writing of an Essay of 200 -250 words and Letter/Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.
- Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II: 33 per cent
- The performance in Tier II will be included for preparing merit
- Write the paper either in Hindi or in English

- Tier-III Exam will continue to be the Skill Test/Typing Test and it qualifying in nature.
- The final SSC CHSL Merit List of the successful applicants will be determined on the basis of total mark obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II.
- Skill Test for Data Entry Operator:
- Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer
- The ‘Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on Computer’ will be considered on the basis of correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage.
- Duration: 15 (Fifteen) minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions will be given to you to enter in the Computer.
- The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test would be of qualifying nature.
- Typing Test for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant LDCs and Court Clerks:
- This test will be conducted for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant LDCs and Court Clerks.

Grade 'C' and 'D' Examination: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has
released the notification for the recruitment of well talented and capable
aspirants in order to fill the vacancies under Stenographer Grade C and D in
various Ministries/Departments of Central Government.
Scheme of Examination:
Computer based examination:
The details of computer based examination are mentioned
below:
- Questions will be asked from the subjects namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language & comprehension or Hindi.
- Total Marks: 100.
- The question except Part-III will be set in Hindi and English.
- 1 question: 1 mark.
- Time Duration: 02 hours.
- For each wrong response 0.25 mark will be deducted.
