Academic Record: Applicants must have required degree/ diploma to apply for GATE as per course.
Admission Process: Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering followed by other process of admission.
Exam Pattern for GATE: Pattern will be as follows:
- Examination contains two different types of questions
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Numerical Answer Questions.
- Papers bearing the codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF and XE, the Engineering Mathematics will carry around 15% of the total marks.
- 15% of the total marks is given to the General Aptitude section.
- The other subject of the paper will carry 70% of the total mark.
- Papers bearing the codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH and XL, the General Aptitude section will carry 15% and other subjects will carry 85% of the total marks.

How to Fill GATE Registration Form: Check this out-
- Willing applicants will have to visit the official website of the organization which is gate.iitg.ac.in
- At first press the “GOAPS” link form the right side of the page.
- Further enter on the link of “Register Here” mention in the left side of the page.
- Now fill the required details like “Candidate Name” or “Email Address” and other information, then press the submit button.
- After completion of registration, candidates will get Enrollment ID and password.
- Already registered candidates don’t need to register again, they can do gate registration login by entering the Enrollment ID and password.
- Hey guys after complete gate registration, start filling the application form by filling the Enrollment ID and password.
- Fill Complete Name (As in GATE application form)/ Mailing Address and Educational Qualification details.
- Now candidates need to upload the necessary documents like Resume/Photograph/ signature.
- Photograph must be color and back ground of the photo should be white or light color.
- Size of the photograph should be (3.5 cm Width × 4.5 cm Height) and size of the signature file should be 2 cm × 7 cm (Height × Width).
- Maximum size of the signature can be 160×560
- Then recheck the filled details and press the “Submit” button.
- Press on the “Submit” button to deposit the GATE form.
PSU Registration through Gate: There are number of Organizations who comes under the PSU like ONGC/ BHEL/HPCL/ IOCL and they recruited eligible candidates through GATE. Check this out-.
ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation): ONGC is an organization of Oil and Natural Gas, which is a central public enterprise under the government of India.
