Application
forms of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship
are invited from suitable students for pursuing higher studies in Sanskrit from
a recognized educational institution, at Shastri, Graduation, Acharya, Post
Graduation, Vidyavaridhi, PhD. Scholarship up to Post-Graduate and equivalent
courses levels will be applicable for one Academic year and for PhD it will be
for 02 years.
Dear students we are telling you that Rashtriya
Sanskrit Sansthan is a deemed institution of higher education which is set up
by the Government of India propagates and promotes Sanskrit language for all
candidates who want to do better study for Sanskrit. Rashtriya Sanskrit
Sansthan (Deemed University), New Delhi was founded in nineteen seventy by the
Government of India for propagation, promotion and learning & research in
Sanskrit languages in India.

Contenders will be considered for a scholarship if
they have undergone a course of not less than one year or two semesters in
Sanskrit.
Students of faculties of Arts or Humanities having
Sanskrit as Major/ Minor subjects will be eligible for the scholarship in
case of Graduation and Post Graduation only.
Students of Class 9 & 10 or equivalent studying
Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a paper of at least 100 marks.
To be eligible, contenders must have secured minimum
60% marks in the previous class examination and must have secured 60% in the
concerned subject.
Students of Class 11 & 12 or equivalent
studying Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a paper of at least 100 marks.
To be eligible, contenders must have secured 60% in
the concerned subject.
Shastri/Graduation/B.A./B.A.(Hons.) course of 3
years with Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a subject of at least 100 marks.
To be eligible, the students should have secured
minimum
60% marks or equivalent in the aggregate and also in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit in Class 12
Acharya/M.A. Degree-Pursuing post graduation degree
in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit.
To be eligible, the students should have secured
minimum 60% in aggregate in graduation in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit.
Vidyavaridhi/Ph.D - Pursuing PhD in
Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit.
Students who have joined MA after B.Ed / M.Ed /
M.Phil for them the last qualifying exam will be BA provided there is no gap
in the study.
Not eligible for the scholarship
Contenders availing scholarship from some other
source will not be eligible for Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship.
The person applying for the scholarship should not be
employed anywhere else.
To be eligible, the students should have secured
minimum 60% in aggregate in M.A./ Acharya in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit.

Amount
- For Class 9 & 10: Rs. 2,500 (Rs. 250 p.m.)
- For Class 11&12: Rs.3,000 (Rs. 300 p.m.)
- For B.A./Shastri: Rs. 4,000 (Rs. 400 p.m.)
- For M.A./Acharya: Rs.5,000 (Rs. 500 p.m.)
- For Ph.D./Vidyavaridhi: Rs. 15,000 (Rs. 1500 p.m.) + Rs. 2,000 as contingency for 2 years
Scholarship
Term: Scholarship
will be applicable for 1 year (10 months) starting from July 1 and will end on
April 30.
Scholarship for Ph. D will be applicable for 2 years (
24 months)
Payment of Scholarship: Scholarship amount will be
transferred directly into the accounts of students via e- transfer and an
intimation letter will be issued to the institution.
Selection
Process:
- Incomplete applications and applications received after the due date will not be accepted.
- Scholarship will be granted on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit and also on the aggregate marks secured in the previous class.
- Merit would be prepared by taking into account the overall grade/ percentage plus grade/percentage obtained in Sanskrit.
- However, for Sanskrit (Hons) candidates the grade percentage obtained in Sanskrit only will be taken.
- Students must have secured the said marks and rounding off marks will not be allowed.

- Press on the suitable link
- Read complete notification.
- Fill up online application form completely.
- Press on the submit tab.
- Take a hard copy and attach all important documents with it.
- At last send it to official address.

- Attested Marks sheet of the latest qualifying examination.
- Caste certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped issued by the competent authority. - It should be in the name of student and certificate in the name of parents will not be accepted.
- For Class 9-10 students, they must submit the scholarship application form duly countersigned by concerned District Education Officer.
- Photocopy of the Passbook

- Photocopy of Joining Letter - Attested by Principal / HOD
- Photocopy of Sanctioned Letter - Attested by Principal / HOD
