Required
Qualification: Candidates must have-
Candidates must have a Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination
from universities/ institutions recognized by UGC (list attached page No. 22 to
48) in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science
&Applications, Electronic Science etc are eligible. Candidates should
appear in the subject of their post graduation only.
Aspirants, who had appeared OR will be appearing at the
qualifying Master’s degree examination and whose result is still awaited or
candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed are also eligible to
apply.
The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination
had been completed by 19th September can get relaxation of 5% in aggregate
marks.
Age Limit: Age
of appliers should not be more than 28 years For Junior Research Fellowship. 5
years relaxation is available in upper age limit OBC/ SC/ST/PWD categories and
to women applicants. Candidates, having research experience, limited to the
period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post graduation
degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, will be also admissible for
relaxation. There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for
Assistant Professor.

Exam Fees: Aspirants have to pay the requisite
fee either by credit card/ debit card or through e-challan generated during the
online filling of the application form. Through Credit card candidates are also
required to pay 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable
and through Debit Card 0.75% of examination fee plus the service tax as applicable.

Selection
Process: Selection of the candidates will be
made on the basis of marks achieved in National eligibility Test.
Exam Pattern:
- Subjects: Paper I will contain questions based on General Aptitude Questions while Paper II and Paper III will contain questions based on selected subject.
- Medium of Exam: Exam questions will be asked in Hindi or English Language.
- Type of Questions: Questions in all paper will objective type.
- Marking Scheme: Candidates will get 2 marks for each correct answer and here is no negative marking

Eligibility Test Cut Off:
- Candidates are required to score mini marks as given below to get award for the JRF and Assistant Professor eligibility. This is the cut off marks for previous year, as soon as latest cut off marks will available, we will provide on this page.
- Separate merit list for Junior Research Fellowship will be prepared from amongst 15% UGC NET qualifiers.
- Only top 15% candidates will be awarded for eligibility of Assistant Professor.
