Educational and other Eligibility:

MBA:

• Pass Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years).
• Secured at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).

MCA:

• Pass Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level.
• Obtained at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).

MCA (lateral Entry):

• Pass Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level.
• Secure at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).

ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan:

• Pass Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Obtained at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
• GATE Valid Score Card

Domicile Requirement: The other state candidates will also be eligible for TANCET. However, the eligibility conditions will be specified by the admitting authority/University.

Exam Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC /SCA /ST candidates) towards the entrance test fee for any one of the Course either M.B.A. (or) M.C.A (or) M.E/M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan Degree Course. Applicants can Pay The Application Fee Online mode only using Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking etc while filling the TANCET Application Form.

Admission Process: Admission to M.B.A, M.C.A, M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch/ and M.Plan Degree Courses will be done on basis of marks obtained in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. Candidates, who will qualify the exam will have to appear in the TANCET Counselling process to get admission into Anna University.

ANCET Exam Pattern:

• The duration of the exam will be about two hours.
• Total 100 questions will be asked in the examination.
• The TANCET Question Paper will be of multiple type questions (MCQ).
• One mark will be allotted to the candidates for correct answer.
• For incorrect answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
• In ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan section, PART I & II is compulsory.
• PART III according to the discipline selected at the time of filling TANCET Exam Online Application Form.
