Constable Test
Pattern
- The test pattern for the Border Security Force Constable recruitment is available here for the guidance of the candidates. The Test will be of Objective Type consisting of Multiple choice Questions. The Test pattern is tabulated on this page.
- It is an objective based written test consisting of multiple choice questions.
- The Question paper will be consisting of 100 Questions for 100 Marks.
- The BSF Constable Test paper will be set in tnlngual in English, Hindi and Regional Language etc.x

ASI Exam Pattern
- The Recruitment process consists of Two Phases.
- The First Phase consists of OMR Based Screening Test & Descriptive Written Test.
- The Second Phase consists of PST, PET, Documentation & Final Medical.
First Phase:
- OMR Based Screening Test
- Descriptive Written Test
- For ASI (RM): Candidates who qualify descriptive test will attend 2nd Phase.
- For HC (RO): Candidates must qualify descriptive test as well as dictation test during this phase.
First Phase OMR Based Screening Test Written Exam
Pattern:
- There will be One OMR Based Objective Type Paper with 100 Questions for 200 Marks.
- Each question carries 2 Marks & there is negative marking of 0.50 Marks for every wrong answer.
- The duration of the exam is 2 Hours.
- The question paper will be printed both in Hindi & English.
- The written exam is divided in to Four Parts as follows:

The Minimum Qualifying Marks of Written Test are as under:-
- General /OBC – 38%
- SC/ST – 33%
Descriptive Test Pattern: Candidates who qualify in
the Objective Type Written Test will have to appear for the Descriptive Test.
For ASI/RM Candidates: A Paper of Maximum 200 Marks
covering Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Electronics Subject (12th
Standard/Dipoma Level).

For HC/RO Candidates: Candidates will be tested for
two categories as per the following procedure:
Written Test (Descriptive Pattern): A Paper of
Maximum 100 Marks covering Physics, Chemistry & English. (12th Standard).
Dictation Test:
Dictation Test (in English Writing) of Minimum 100 Words

Qualifying Marks for the dictation Test will be 38% for General/OBC
& 33% for SC/ST Candidates
|
- Both the descriptive tests are mandatory & 2.5 Marks will be deducted for each omission/mistake of single letter.
- 5 Marks will be deducted for each word mistake/omission.
Second Phase: The Second Phase will start from soon Onwards (PST, PET, Documentation, & Final Medical).
Final Result: Final Result will be prepared for
the ASI(RM) & HC(RO) in the following manner:
